Bennett Quinn has been a local GP for over 30 years. Locally, he has supported the healthcare community with committee roles in anticoagulation, most notably moving warfarin management from hospital to primary care, and information technology with involvement in setting up the Wirral Electronic Health Record and WROCS. In the 2000’s he led on “The Leasowe Plan”, a multi-disciplinary approach to reducing healthcare inequalities for people living in the area. Nationally, he was a member of the programme development group for NICE’s PH35 “Preventing type 2 diabetes – population & community interventions” and was also a member of the NICE Quality & Outcomes Framework Advisory Group from 2010 to 2014.
In addition to GP Appraiser and GP Trainer roles, he is also a Visiting Lecturer at The University of Chester. He is currently participating in mental health research and in the last year presented at the World Congress of Psychiatry in Mexico, the Royal College of Psychiatry and at WONCA Europe in Bratislava.
