The Leadership Team for Wirral Health and Care Commissioning is made of staff from NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group and Wirral Council, and brings together a number of different backgrounds, roles and perspectives that strengthen the insight of the team.
Lay Members and Councillors bring an independent view and challenge, and work alongside the Leadership Team and Clinical/Social Care professional leads to make sure our residents remain at the heart of all we do.
As well as the Leadership Team, staff across the whole of Wirral Health and Care Commissioning work together in an integrated way, so as to join up health and care commissioning for the people of Wirral. This means we can plan care better, reduce duplication, and use our resources more effectively. As an example, our Safeguarding Team and Learning Disability Commissioning Team work together as single teams, and are both co-located in the same working area. This improves communication and relationships between Council and NHS staff to ensure the people we serve get the best health and care possible.
